🌱 Introducing the Fellows Seed Grant Fund

Hey Fellows! One of the things we talked about in our kickoff sessions was building a collective fund that belongs to you — to use for community projects next year. Here's everything you need to know.

What is the Seed Grant Fund?

Think of it as a slush fund that grows throughout the year and gets put toward fellow-led community projects in 2027.

The idea is simple: this year you're learning, experimenting, and discovering what you love about GMing. Maybe you fall in love with improv workshops. Maybe you want to host a prop-making night. Maybe a few of you want to take a class together and bring what you learned back to the community. The Seed Grant Fund is how we make that happen.

Projects that could get funded might look like:

  • Renting a space or buying supplies for a workshop you want to host

  • A class, training, or convention experience you want to share back with the community

  • Pizza and a venue for a fellows-run game day

  • Materials for a collaborative community build or event

The creativity is yours. The fund is to make it real.

How to Contribute

We're keeping contributions right on the DD&D site — so you can set it up once and never think about it again.

There is no minimum. A dollar a month is genuinely welcome.

This is about collective investment, not the size of any individual contribution. If your finances don't allow for it right now, no one will know and no one will judge — full stop

How the Fund Works

  • Contributions accumulate throughout the 2026 fellowship year

  • At the end of the year, fellows can submit project proposals for how the fund gets used

  • Priority goes to projects that benefit the broader DD&D community

  • The full proposal process will be shared later in the year — for now, just start dreaming

Start Dreaming Now

You don't need a project in mind yet. But if something comes up this year — a workshop you loved, a skill you want to share, an experience you want to create — write it down somewhere. That's exactly what this fund exists for.
