Grand Mastress Renee
Charismatic, Enigmatic, Romantic
For better or for worse, this was my idea.
Be respectful, be kind, challenge with compassion, share the space, be excellent to each other, and if unsure, just ask!
Meet Renee, the charismatic founder and enigmatic figurehead of Dragons, Dungeons, and Drinks. A master of illusions and storytelling, Renee has been weaving tales and building communities since founding DD&D in May 2023. In just over a year, she has inspired over 500 adventurers to become heroes and guided more than 50 adventurers on their journey to become DD&D GMs Renee's passion for creating accessible and inclusive spaces stems from her recognition of two challenges: the difficulty of making friends as an adult and the often intimidating nature of D&D for newcomers. Her solution? Building a community based on a strong code of conduct and a commitment to welcoming players of all backgrounds and experience levels. When asked to describe her GMing style in three words, Renee opts for "Challenging, Strategic, and Suspenseful" She excels at creating vivid, immersive worlds that adapt to her players' choices, ensuring that every session is a unique and memorable experience. One of Renee's most memorable gaming moments showcases her ability to embrace the unexpected. During a late-stage Curse of Strahd game, her lighthearted and gregarious Celestial Cleric witnessed a hag kill two of her fellow party members. In response, Renee's character Scar went on an epic rampage, resurrecting her friends, destroying the hag, defeating Strahd, and nearly becoming the new Dark Lady of Barovia. This moment exemplifies Renee's belief in the power of storytelling and character development in D&D. At the core of Renee's philosophy for Dragons, Dungeons, and Drinks is a commitment to fostering a welcoming and supportive environment. "For better or for worse, this was my idea," Renee often says with a smile. "Be respectful, be kind, share the space, challenge with compassion, be excellent to each other, and if unsure, just ask." Under Renee's leadership, DD&D has grown from a small group of 30 adventurers to a thriving community of over 700. Her ability to build a community of kind and talented people is unparalleled, and her vision continues to shape the inclusive and exciting world of Dragons, Dungeons, and Drinks. Join us in celebrating Grand Mastress Renee and the incredible growth of our community. Here's to many more adventures ahead!
GM Blake
Rule of Cool
I believe that people should feel safe to make characters that reflect a part of themselves they might not get to express every day as long as it doesn’t make anyone feel unsafe or targeted in any way.

GM Ananda
Narrative, Visceral, Witty
My players take center-stage in creating the most memorable and engaging encounters, I just provide the backdrop for them to add their own unique twist.

GM Mitchell
Visceral, Dangerous, Consequential
Priority one is that players feel safe (even, or especially, if their characters don't). Without that comfort and trust, it's much harder for players to let go and bring their characters to life.

GM Johan
Improvisational, Logical, Action-filled!
There are no small parts in a game; I strive to make sure that everyone is included

GM Larry
Fun, Fair, Roleplay
We make great moments and stories together when we work together. I may be the enemy, but I am also the friend.

GM Derek
About The Players
I spend most of my focus connecting players to the story. I think it's important for the players to have enough backstory that they can do kneejerk responses in character without even realizing it.

GM Ben
Experiencing This Together
The table is for everyone to express and explore themselves. The table is sacred to not only be cherished, but protected.
GM John
Collaborative, Flexible, Intuitive
It's important to include everyone at the table in the ways they want to be included. I believe that "if my players are having fun, then I'm having fun." However, everyone may have a different idea of what that fun looks like, so it's important to stay tuned in to your table. There's no one right or wrong way to play D&D, just find what works best for your group!
