Frequently asked questions
You really don't have to bring much at all! A valid ID to make purchases at the bar, some dice if you have them? We usually have some to spare.
We supply pre-generated character sheets, battlemaps, gaming supplies, other adventurers, and GMs!
Noise Levels
Our story-telling events take place in a large, open brewery with up to 125 participants. This environment can be quite noisy, which may impact your ability to hear other players clearly. We're constantly working on improving this aspect, but we acknowledge it might pose challenges for some attendees, especially those with hearing difficulties.
Alternative Options
For those who find our events less accessible due to noise levels, we recommend checking out our adventures at the Pride Cultural Arts Center!
Lighting
The majority of our participants report that the lighting is adequate for reading our standard character sheets.
Ongoing Improvements
We're committed to enhancing the experience for all our adventurers and are always open to suggestions for creating a more inclusive environment.
Power access is rare and not guaranteed, please plan accordingly.
Notify Grand Mastress Renee or Business Barbarian Marcus immediately for support. They will attend to anything you need.
Brewery = 18+
Pride Cultural Arts Center = Family Friendly
While service animals are of course welcome, we ask that animal companions hold down the camp at home. With so many adventurers in the room, we don't have a lot of space.
Dress as you please - be it sweatpants or full adventuring regalia! Additionally, as the space may be air conditioned, you might consider bringing layers.
Be Respectful, Be Kind, Share the Space, Challenge with Compassion, Be Excellent to Each Other, & If Unsure, Just Ask.
This is variable. We encourage checking the venue website before to see if there will be a food truck or consider eating before or ordering in.
Generally speaking, adventures begin asychronously between 6:00 and 6:30 once all adventurers have arrived. There is a short intermission during the middle of the event. GMs are expected to wrap up their adventure around 9:30 PM so people can leave by 10 PM when the brewery closes.
New players are welcome! There are always experienced players willing to share extra dice and show you the ropes. If nervous, just ask Grand Mastress Renee for a trusted player and we'll get you connected to a D&D mentor.
If an issue arises where a player is feeling uncomfortable with another player or the DM, please politely excuse yourself and approach Grand Mastress Renee. She will assist. We want you to have an A+ experience!
Table sizes will be approximately 4-6 players and 1 GM.
While the event is designed to conclude together, if you need to leave early, it would be courteous to inform your GM and tablemates.
We encourage being good patrons of the venue that is graciously hosting us and in exchange you will garner a gold star per item purchased! These stars translate to in-game +1 bonuses you can add to your rolls per purchase! Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options are available. Please drink responsibly.
